Spotlight on: Marie Allman. MBPsS. Trainee HI CBT Therapist.
Hi, my name is Marie and I have over 20 years of experience working with people including families and young people in the community and various mental health settings. I am experienced in working with individuals with Autism/ADHD and people experiencing depression, anxiety and various other complex mental health needs including Trauma, PTSD and Personality Disorder.
I have embraced my passion to alleviate psychological distress through my continued engagement in training, education and my involvement in community and mental health settings over the years working in voluntary roles and as an Assistant Psychologist.
From my experiences, I have learnt first-hand how people’s life’s can be adversely affected by poor mental health, this has guided me to pursue clinical training as a High Intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapist. I was motivated to train in this modality because Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is widely recognised as one of the most effective forms of treatment for people coping with depression and anxiety and other emotional disorders.
Together, through the application of the skills I have developed through my professional training and the knowledge I have gained through my experience and education over the years, I continue to deliver effective support to people experiencing psychological distress.
Marie Allman MBPsS, Trainee HI CBT Therapist.
